You can access the ID.me link on the TWC Identity Verification webpage.
Identity Verification Website
Verifying your identity online with ID.me is secure and available 24 hours a day.
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) uses ID.me to verify the identity of a person who applied for unemployment benefits. The process is fast, easy, and secure.
If you applied for unemployment benefits and received a notice from TWC with instructions to verify your identity, then you must complete the identity (ID) verification to validate your claim.
If you have not used ID.me before, you must create an account using your name and SSN. Failure to create your own account will result in a denial of benefits.
How to Use ID.me
Before you begin, you will need to use a smart phone (or digital camera) and submit photos of your:
- Unexpired government-issued ID (driver license or passport).
- Financial and utility records (credit bureaus, mobile phone providers, etc.).
- A photo of yourself (i.e. a "selfie" that matches the ID sent for #1).
