If you reported a fraudulent UI claim was filed using your stolen identity, then TWC may still be processing your Identity Theft case. When TWC confirms ID fraud, we work to remove any fraudulent information from the claim record and related overpayment(s) tied to your Social Security number. Until the process is complete, you may still receive overpayment notices.
Please disregard these overpayment notices. You do not need to repay the overpayment resulting from identity theft if you are a victim of identity fraud. If you do not receive notification after two weeks that your case has been resolved and the overpayment removed, please contact the TWC Fraud Unit at 512-463-8322.
